Man, on the way to work this morning I was thinking I would have done just about anything to hang out with my beau and pup for movies and books and pjs, but work's not too bad. There will be other days :) Oh November.

Be Rebellious

circumnavigating:

i don’t want to love jesus ‘by the rules’ anymore.
i want to love and delight in and serve jesus rebelliously:
that is, in a way that trusts and follows Him so counter-culturally, so radically, (so biblically), that you cannot but know that the God i worship is a glorious God.
i’m praying that He might give me the grace to not just say that i want it, too.

I'm a to-do list person I think. Sometimes I begin things to just enjoy them, and then at one point that thing becomes something I want to finish to cross of my list. At work sometimes I'll do small things before writing them on my list, just so I don't have to think about them. I strive for a moment where everything is cleaned, or replaced, or checked off, with all my shows watched and books/magazines read, cabinets full, etc.... but the reality is, that will never happen. And that's actually quite a beautiful thing. I'm not sure what drives the idea of completion, but being in the middle of something is actually nice. I love being influenced by what I'm reading, verses I'm memorizing, the current inside jokes, the projects that demand my time, etc. And I know as more people get added to my family, etc, it will get busier, but really, isn't that kinda nice? I might not always think so, but I'm grateful for constantly being in the middle of things.

Oh, you're changing your heart

The leaves are changing here! It's beautiful. I love driving right over the top of a hill and being able to see the variety in color in the tree tops. Life for my manager and I turned stressful recently, but honestly, somehow it(and some encouraging individuals)'s turned me more towards prayer and therefore a peace and an assurance that this too shall pass, and it's best to enjoy it as it does. Plus, my manager is kinda funny when she's all sassafras. Joy is contagious.

Moving

Moving home for a bit by the end of the month. I've been taking over small loads every couple of days or so, and nearly all the books and shoes have made it their next semi-permanent home. I think it's going to be fun.
