Happy Birthday to my dad

My dad is such a sweet man. I love the special days that he texts me. And the fact that he knows more about gadgets than me. And about cars. And that I know I've got his support. And that he loves Jesus. A very special prayer to you today Dad.

Europe Trip

So my sister had a say in her Bachelorette Party.. and she chose to go to Europe and ride rides :) Us bridal party girls went  Busch Gardens in Virginia for the day, and got to celebrate a bit of October with their Howl-o-scream. Such a great time and her wedding day is fast approaching!

Just being honest..

It might be the time of the month where this looks like the best idea, and all I really want to do.

The Season to Fall...

I absolutely love this time of year. There's nothing like the start of a new season.
Total side note: I've been hearing The Funeral by Band of Horses in a few movies recently. Loving the song.

Be Happy

It's interesting how sometimes, it's hard to be happy for others. It can be hard to forget yourself and be able to enjoy the happy moment for someone else. But wouldn't it be beautiful if we could let go of crummy days, or the change that hasn't come yet, or when things seem to be getting worse. To leave our own downpours and embrace and share the sunny spots of family, friends, or strangers. Don't be afraid to let things be okay.

#2

via

So I completed #2 on my 25 things I'd like to do before I turn 25 list. I completed the half-marathon, running with my dad and my brother. The adrenaline of the crowd really did carry me on. I think my longest run in my "training" was 5 miles.. and I felt great race day through mile 7. My hips starting hurting after that point, but one thing that really helped me keep going was praying for others. It kept my mind off what I was feeling, and on higher things. My brother caught up with me around mile 10, and he and I finished before our goals of 2 hr 30 min. I finished at 2 hr 22 min, which I'm very happy with, although I'm still taking it easy for my hips' sakes. If I ever do it again, which I might (say in Disney World!), I would definitely plan on taking training more seriously. What a great experience!

Be Yourself

I love words. I'm not sure why, but blogging to me ended up being an expression in images and things that caught my eye. Brief notes. I fully expected to come across in paragraphs of thought. However, I'm learning to just let myself be myself, and not feel forced by my to-do list of ideals. Also, I think the symptoms of ADHD that I have, somehow keep me from thinking one thing long enough to really write out a post like that. Life is so interesting.
