Weekend plans

via

Simple things can bring happiness! And the Lord can fill your heart with joy. I'll (hopefully) be addressing envelopes, trying the food that will served at our wedding, cookie tasting, babysitting, watching Harry Potter 5, and taking things a little slower :)

Remove barriers

To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love.
— Jane Austen

I have my first dress fitting tonight - I'm excited, mostly because it's a sign that the best day ever is getting closer :)  Other than that, trying to enjoy busy-ness at work, with the planning, and trying to enjoy small moments with people I love!

Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

Happy Mon Tuesday! Our fireworks were rescheduled for tonight, so hoping to get the chance to see them :) A productive weekend! Even if I was busy, my mind is a bit more relaxed. A lot of things scheduled this week - I have no doubt July will fly by!

Hello July!

So recently, I realized my time-passing internal clock is quite horrible. I often throw out "the other day" in stories, without fully realizing the day I'm referring to is in fact, yesterday. When I have a condition, like a canker sore or a little numbing in my back, I don't really remember how long I've been experiencing it, in fact, it feels like I've just always had it. Most bad days seem like the worst day ever, and most good days feel like the best day ever. If I finish a task, I might remember that I did it, but not the actual result. I was a little bummed when I realized this, until I got over myself and realized we all kinda experience this. Maybe in slightly different areas, different extremes, but we are can be so awesome at living in the moment. Kinda cool right? So it feels like it's just always been July right? Hehe, have a good Friday :)

June Books

via
 via

Mary Anne by Daphne du Maurier
The Girl I Loved by James Whitcomb Riley
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
Kirkland Revels by Victoria Holt
Tick Tock by James Patterson
The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt
Savannah by Eugenia Price
What's Your Poo Telling You?  by Josh Richman and Anish Sheth
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

*(Summary is inspired by Debbie!) Half of the books I read this time were older (Mary Anne, The Girl I Loved, Kirkland Revels, Savannah, Treasure Island), and well, relatively slow styles to read. I still liked them all. Mary Anne is not as good as Rebecca or Jamaica Inn, and I liked Victoria Holt growing up. The Girl I Loved and What's Your Poo Telling You ( :) present from my sister) were very short. Sarah's Key was mostly good, slow at parts, and kinda depressing. Probably most depressing in it was that every relationship mentioned had divorce somewhere. Tick Tock was exciting, but I wouldn't reread it. The Weird Sisters was good, had a feel-good ending but it lacked a little something. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was inspired by our trip to Savannah (as was Savannah, well and Treasure Island). It was very interesting as a nonfiction book, and I liked all mainly because of our trip :). No absolute favorites this month, but all good company.
